Alex Belden

As Vice President of Business Development, Alex is instrumental in developing the strategic growth of Crestline’s portfolio including hotel investments/acquisitions, management contracts, new development projects and M&A/platform transactions.

Prior to joining Crestline, Alex served as Head of Institutional Growth at Avantstay, a vertically integrated short-term rental platform, where he led the company’s Commercial, Development, Brokerage and PropCo verticals. He also previously held positions as Vice President of Acquisitions & Business Development at Davidson Hospitality Group, and Vice President of Acquisitions at AJ Capital Partners. Alex began his career working on the Investment teams at companies such as Xenia Hotels and Resorts, RLJ Lodging Trust, and Davidson Hospitality Group. He earned a BBA from Georgia State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Sam Woodworth Headshot

Sam Woodworth

As Vice President of Business Development, Sam is pivotal in the ongoing growth of Crestline’s portfolio through the acquisition of management contracts, new development, and investments. Prior to joining Crestline, Sam was the Director of Acquisitions at GF Hotels & Resorts. Sam began his career as an investment sales analyst for select service hotel portfolios with JLL in Atlanta. He moved on to manage acquisitions, development, and client relations for HVMG and CBRE Hotels.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. Among his additional achievements, Sam was the graduate program liaison to the 91st annual Hotel Ezra Cornell student-run conference highlighting the accomplishments of the student body to alumni and members of the hospitality industry, as well as a nominee for the 2023 Georgia Tech Alumni Association 40 Under 40 award. He is active in his community and a volunteer with the Red Cross.

Amelia Zimmerman

As Vice President of Sales, Business Development, Amelia leads strategic growth initiatives with a primary focus on business development, including hotel openings, ownership transitions, pro forma analysis, and management agreement negotiations. With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Amelia brings a strong blend of financial insight and operational expertise to support long-term value creation. In addition to development efforts, Amelia has a proven track record in sales leadership, revenue optimization, and talent development. Throughout Amelia’s career, she has held key sales roles at leading hospitality companies including Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Marriott-branded properties, gaining experience across a wide range of hotel types—from boutique lifestyle to full-service and urban to resort.

Amelia holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and has completed executive education in Situational Leadership and Hotel Real Estate Investments at UVA and Cornell University.
