Chairwoman of the Board

Marta Barceló serves as Chairwoman of the Board for Crestline Hotels & Resorts, the U.S. subsidiary of Barceló Hotel Group. In this role, she provides strategic oversight of Crestline’s operations, ensuring alignment with the broader global vision of Barceló while supporting growth and performance across the organization.

With a foundation in hotel operations, Marta began her career working front desk roles within Barceló properties before gaining international experience as a trainee at The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg in Germany. She later relocated to the United States, where she joined Crestline and progressed through various operational roles, developing a comprehensive understanding of the business. Her leadership journey culminated in her appointment as Chairwoman of the Board.

Marta brings expertise in business development and is particularly focused on strengthening collaboration and communication between Barceló Hotel Group and Crestline. She holds a double degree in Business and International Relations, equipping her with both commercial and global perspectives in hospitality leadership.

James Carroll

President & Chief Executive Officer

Since joining Crestline in 2004, James Carroll has helped lead the company’s evolution into one of the nation’s top ten hotel management firms. Under his leadership, Crestline has continued to expand its portfolio and operational capabilities while earning qualification to manage hotels under leading global brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG.

James brings extensive experience in hospitality operations, finance, and investment strategy, including his involvement in the formation and growth of Playa Hotels & Resorts, an international hospitality real estate venture. A graduate of Harvard Business School and the U.S. Naval Academy, he also serves on several industry and corporate boards, including the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA).

Aaron J. Olson

Executive Vice President, Operations

Aaron Olson joined Crestline in 2017 and provides senior operational oversight across the company’s West Coast portfolio while supporting strategic growth initiatives and new hotel developments. With more than two decades of hospitality experience, he brings a well-rounded understanding of hotel operations, brand standards, and ownership priorities across a wide range of markets.

Prior to Crestline, Aaron held leadership roles with Marriott International, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, RIM Hospitality, Wright Investments, and Texas Western Hospitality. His experience across multiple brands, geographic regions, and complex ownership structures has contributed to a strong track record of operational leadership and hotel performance.

Edward Hoganson

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Investment Officer

Edward Hoganson brings more than 25 years of experience across Crestline and its affiliated companies, helping drive the company’s continued growth through hospitality investment, financial leadership, and business development. In his current role, he leads acquisition and investment strategies focused on expanding Crestline’s portfolio and creating new opportunities for hotel owners and investment partners nationwide.

Prior to rejoining Crestline in 2019, Ed served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Hospitality Investors Trust, Inc. (HIT), where he helped oversee a hospitality portfolio valued at more than $2 billion. His background spans leadership roles with Crestline, Marriott International, and Deloitte, bringing a well-rounded perspective across hospitality finance, operations, and investment strategy.

Mónica Bernstein

Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Mónica Bernstein oversees legal matters across Crestline’s hotel operations, development, corporate governance, and asset management initiatives, bringing extensive experience in hospitality law and complex business transactions. Her background combines operational insight with a strong legal foundation that supports the company’s continued growth and long-term partnerships.

Before joining Crestline, Mónica held senior legal leadership roles with Interstate Hotels & Resorts and practiced at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, D.C., where she represented clients in complex commercial and international matters. She is a member of the Bar in Florida and the District of Columbia and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Daniel E. Johnson

Senior Vice President, Taxes

Daniel E. Johnson serves as Senior Vice President, Taxes at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, where he leads tax strategy, compliance, and planning across the organization. He partners closely with internal teams and ownership groups to navigate complex tax matters, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives while supporting long-term financial performance.

With more than 35 years of experience in hospitality tax and finance, Daniel brings deep expertise across both ownership and management company structures. His career includes leadership roles with Marriott, Host Marriott, Highland Hospitality Corporation, and Crestline, where he has played a key role in tax planning, acquisitions, and corporate structuring initiatives.

Daniel’s experience includes the formation and lifecycle of hotel REITs—from initial structuring through IPO and privatization—as well as supporting numerous acquisitions and dispositions. Known for his thoughtful and analytical approach, he is skilled at identifying tax implications within complex business scenarios and developing solutions that balance risk, compliance, and strategic opportunity. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from James Madison University and maintains professional designations as a CPA, CMA, and CGMA.

Deanne Johnson-Anderson

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Deanne Johnson-Anderson leads Crestline’s human resources strategy, overseeing talent development, employee relations, benefits and compensation, labor relations, and organizational performance across the company. Her approach combines operational understanding with a strong focus on culture, leadership development, and supporting teams at every level of the organization.

Prior to joining Crestline, Deanne managed human resources initiatives for the Mid-Atlantic region at Starwood Hotels. She holds degrees from Cornell University and George Washington University and maintains multiple certifications in human capital management, organizational development, and team dynamics.

Donnelly Maysey

Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Donnelly leads sales strategy for Crestline Hotels & Resorts, driving revenue performance and strengthening sales effectiveness across the company’s diverse portfolio. She partners closely with hotel leaders, ownership groups, and commercial teams to identify growth opportunities, enhance sales execution, and build high-performing teams that deliver measurable results.

With more than 25 years of sales and hospitality leadership experience, Donnelly has built a career spanning full-service, select-service, luxury, and lifestyle hotels. Prior to joining Crestline, she served as Divisional Vice President of Sales with Aimbridge Hospitality, where she led sales strategy and performance for approximately 150 hotels throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. Her responsibilities also included oversight of Evolution Hospitality, Aimbridge’s luxury and lifestyle division. In this role, she led a team of regional leaders supporting more than 1,000 sales, catering, and event professionals.

Before joining Aimbridge, Donnelly spent 14 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation in progressively senior sales leadership positions, including Regional Vice President of Sales. Her earlier hospitality experience also includes roles with Hilton. Donnelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Business Administration from Cornell University and remains actively involved with several hospitality organizations, including the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, and the Cornell Hotel Society.

Laura Mack

Senior Vice President, Accounting and Finance

Laura Mack joined Crestline in 2023 and oversees corporate accounting, finance, and hotel accounting operations across the company’s portfolio. Her responsibilities include financial reporting, cash flow management, performance tracking, and maintaining strong internal controls that support operational efficiency and long-term financial stability.

Before joining Crestline, Laura served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for American Campus Communities, Inc. Her career spans more than 25 years across real estate, retail, manufacturing, and technology sectors, bringing a broad financial perspective to Crestline’s hospitality operations. Laura is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a degree in Business from Austin College in Texas.

Leah McFarland

Senior Vice President, Revenue Strategy

As Senior Vice President of Revenue Strategy, Leah McFarland leads the development of revenue and e-commerce strategies designed to maximize profitability across Crestline’s portfolio. Her expertise spans revenue optimization, digital performance, and market analysis, helping properties respond effectively to shifting demand patterns and evolving business conditions.

Before joining Crestline in 2024, Leah held leadership positions with MCR Hotels, Winegardner & Hammons Hotel Group, and White Lodging. She began her hospitality career in sales with the Indianapolis Marriott North and has earned numerous certifications in Revenue Management throughout her career.

Ryan Allen Napier

Senior Vice President, Facilities and Technology/Risk Management

Ryan Allen Napier is Senior Vice President of Facilities and Technology and Risk Manager at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, where he leads enterprise strategy across information technology, engineering, and risk management. He oversees cybersecurity, infrastructure, capital planning, and insurance programs, ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective operations across the portfolio.

With a career spanning luxury hospitality and large-scale multi-state portfolios, Ryan has advanced from property-level engineering leadership roles to executive oversight. He previously served in key roles with Vail Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton Club and gained international experience in Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. His work includes leading engineering operations across 125+ hotels and transforming risk and insurance programs, delivering measurable reductions in claims and improved operational consistency.

Amanda Adkins

Vice President, Digital Strategy

Amanda Adkins leads digital strategy at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, driving innovative marketing and technology initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, enhance the guest journey, and generate measurable business results across the portfolio. She partners closely with operations, revenue management, sales, and ownership groups to align digital investments with broader commercial objectives.

Amanda began her hospitality career as a Revenue Management Analyst, steadily advancing to Regional Director before transitioning into digital strategy leadership at MCR. Prior to entering the hospitality industry, she held management roles with Buy Buy Baby and Kohl’s Department Stores, where she developed a strong foundation in retail operations, customer experience, and team leadership. Drawing on both revenue management and digital expertise, she brings a unique perspective on how pricing, demand, distribution, and marketing work together to drive hotel performance.

Amelia Zimmerman is Vice President of Sales, Business Development at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, where she leads strategic growth initiatives, including hotel openings, ownership transitions, and management agreement negotiations. Charles Berryhill

With nearly 30 years of experience in hospitality, Charles has built his career through progressive leadership roles spanning property and multi-unit operations. He began in on-property leadership as a General Manager before advancing into regional and area-level roles, including positions with MCR Development, Prism Hotels & Resorts, Campus Living Villages, and TMI Hospitality. Since joining Crestline in 2019, he has continued to lead large, cross-functional teams while driving operational performance across multiple markets.

With more than 30 years in hospitality accounting, Michael has built his career through steady progression from staff accounting roles to executive leadership. His experience includes long-standing roles with Professional Hospitality Resources and Harmony Hospitality before joining Crestline in 2017, where he advanced to Vice President of Centralized Accounting. This depth of experience provides a strong foundation in both property-level and corporate financial operations.

Michael is recognized for building scalable accounting structures and strengthening relationships with ownership groups. His accomplishments include expanding centralized accounting support from 36 to more than 60 hotels while maintaining high standards of reporting and internal controls. A Certified Public Accountant, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Old Dominion University and brings a disciplined, practical approach to managing complex, multi-property financial operations.

Nick Murray

Vice President, Business Intelligence

Nick Murray shapes how data drives decision-making at Crestline Hotels & Resorts, leading enterprise business intelligence initiatives that transform complex information into clear, actionable insights. Rhonda K. Dye

Vice President, Operations
