To say this has been one of the most volatile periods in the history of the hospitality industry would certainly be an understatement. But for Crestline it has proven to be one of the most productive, effective and opportunistic times for growth and success.
Over the past 10 years we have experienced the height of an economic bubble where new hotels and new brand concepts were almost a daily occurrence, to the depths of a frightening recession. There were natural disasters that devastated parts of our country, and horrific acts of terrorism -- all deeply impacting the hospitality industry.
But despite these extremes, or perhaps because of these extremes, Crestline has not only grown and matured, but ends its first decade as one of the most prestigious hospitality management companies in the United States. Ranked among the top five hospitality management firms, Crestline is consistently recognized for its superior performance in RevPAR, guest satisfaction, and return on investment for our ownership groups.
How did we do it when others failed? First and foremost it is the dedication of our 4,800 associates who come to work every day with enthusiasm, ideas and the motivation to succeed. It is this collective passion for success that drives Crestline and provides the vision and innovative thinking that grows our business.
We are also willing to listen, learn and change. As you know, our executive management is focused directly on having more senior leadership in the field and creating more opportunities for sharing and executing ‘Best Practices'. And we have gotten smarter and better at what we do, driving more revenue to the bottom line for our owners while empowering our associates to make better decisions and share in the success.
