Homewood Suites Hotel by Hilton Washington, DC Completes a Major Renovation of Public Spaces

Homewood Suites Hotel by Hilton Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, DC – May 13, 2015 – The Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington, D.C. is premiering a new look inspired by Hilton’s brand theme for Homewood Suites renovations, ‘Take Flight.’ According to Hilton, the renovations are intended to do more than just make the space look pretty; they are a result of redefining space to meet the needs of how today’s guests travel and want to use the public areas during their stay. At the 175 guest-suite, extended-stay Homewood Suites Washington, D.C., the renovation encompassed the entire first level of the hotel. Guests are now greeted in a lobby with a strategically placed fireplace; modern finishes and furnishings, including ceramic, plank-tile floors; new energy efficient lighting; three new flat screen TVs; seating arrangements that are flexible for working and relaxing, including a signature community “wing” table. In addition, the Home Office business center, flexible meeting space, and the Suite Shop for sundries are all open to the lobby creating a fluid environment for work, relaxation and dining. The color palette is blue and cream with splashes of red, reflecting on the nation’s national colors. And for a bit of whimsy, the artwork is black and white photography of past Presidential dogs.

The 175 one-bedroom suite, extended-stay property is managed by Crestline Hotels & Resorts LLC. It is in the heart of Northwest Washington, D.C. on Massachusetts Avenue and is near the White House, within walking distance to the McPherson Square Metro station, as well as in close proximity to the Smithsonian Institute, the Washington Monument, the National Zoo and other area attractions. Each of the 175 well-appointed suites provide a home-away-from-home atmosphere including a separate living area with a sleeper sofa, a remote controlled TV, a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, and a work area with complimentary high speed Internet. For meetings, the hotel offers 2,500 square feet of conference space. For dining, there is a complimentary “Suite Start” hot buffet breakfast served in the lodge, and Monday through Thursday evenings there is a complimentary “Evening Social” with light fare, beer, wine and soft drinks.
